All about fruit and the people from this valley. Take a guided walk through the vineyards of Merwespont, down to the Breede River. Your guide will tell you about farming practises, new fruits being planted and the people working the land. You can even ask questions about the "tokkelosh". See harvesting done December to May of different fruits and choose some fruit just for yourself. Follow the wine making process and on special request visit the cellar.

In the winter - May to November - there are other interesting activities, such as the cultivation of new land, nursery of wine plants, seedlings of the sharon fruit etc. After walking and building up an appetite, relax in our panorama room with the alpine fireplace, or find a spot in the garden to read or watch the birds. Over 90 different bird species have been identified at Merwenstein.
