Nestled in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Breederiver Winelands. Here you can enjoy peace and the remarkable landscape with orchards and vineyards as far as the eye can see.

Merwenstein has only three double rooms (2 adjoining 3/4 beds per room). Each with two ¾ beds standing together. The rooms are equipped with en suite shower/wc, coffee/tea making facilities and with private entrances onto a shaded patio that leads into the garden. The house, as well as one of the guestrooms, is wheelchair-friendly.

Heidi and Hugo had their own ideas about the architecture of the house. It was designed to give guests maximum space and comfort, as well as full enjoyment of the unspoilt natural surroundings.

The panorama room has huge windows overlooking the farm and with the alpine fireplace in the centre, it is a wonderful place to spend some quiet time with a good book. There is underfloor heating for the crispy days, a self-help, fully equipped kitchen, and our version of King Arthur's round table where we serve nutrional breakfasts from 07h00 – 11h00. If nothing gets you into a holiday mood, this will !

Oh we should not forget to mention that our rooms do not have television, nor a fridge. As a tourguide that is one thing that Heidi really disliked having in a room. But we do have a communal fridge in the panorama room for you to use and a television set on request. Hot spots for internet users are available in the house.
